The three key players of Duke’s two-peat dynasty, Laettner, Hill and
Hurley, all completed their 4 years college degree before turning pro.
Wonder if we will ever be able to witness such feat again in a NCAA
winning team in the future?
Just seeing the end of this game is not the complete picture. Kentucky had
a great team, and Duke’s team was over the top. They slugged it out for 2
hours before each team made an amazing basket at the end….it all came
down to Duke having the ball last and a coaching snafu by Kentucky for not
putting a player to guard the inbound pass.
