P Nis says:

Magic was unlucky. AIDS was started to get rid of fags.

Antiwan T says:

If Lattener wasn’t on the team, Shaq would have been the alternate pick.

kalloused says:

Wow that was insanely stupid. Made it out to seem like it was an
untelevised scrimmage where the team shot 90% from the field or some shit
like that and all they talk about is Jordan being an asshole like usual.
Retarded

David Olivares says:

this kind of basketball does not exist anymore…..

delfra70 says:

This scrimmage is something I always wanted to see and would buy the DVD of
this in a heartbeat. You guys have to remember that while these guys like
MJ and Magic we’re legends, they carried a lot of that old school
playground pride and didn’t take no nonsense on the court. Sure there was
smiles like we see on these guys, but they all achieved the greatness they
got by working their asses off. MJ, Magic and the others going at each
other is really no different than you going at it with your brother, cousin
or friend on the court. Sure you love each other, but when your on that
court playing each other and it starts to get real intense, it’s on and the
love is gone baby haha. But the upside of it is that it brings the absolute
best of you because neither one of you want to lose and feel humiliated so
that drives you to be the best you can be. Basic the same thing with MJ and
Magic. There was hugs and smiles, but it wasn’t all hugs and smiles during
those infamous scrimmages. But I’m also sure it built up a strong level of
respect and admiration among these hall of legends as well. It’s one thing
when you play each other several times during the season, but it’s another
thing when you train with each other, live with each other, practice with
and against each other and play together. I think it’s healthy for Magic
and MJ to have that attitude and approach on the court, there’s no signs of
letting up or showing weakness, as a leader you can’t show weakness on the
court. I don’t think Magic or MJ would have had nearly the success they had
in their careers with that kind of mentality and leadership, do you?

Alejandro Matias says:

When I seen this , I remember when I played basketball as a kiddo . I use
to play on a on the streets in Clifton New jersey. In this park and they
had pick up games and pick me because i was 5′ 10″ at eleven years old. But
as soon as I played a game and it was the end , they would not want to
participate in basketball games anymore enless a player was tried .
christian Laettner was me. That’s cooled man.

Triston Maxwell says:

I don’t care what anyone says Michael is not the greatest player to ever
step foot on a court

Gerrard Steven says:

Just waiting for some 12 year old to say that the 2012 was better then the
1992 dream team

hammertime says:

this game, one of the very rare instances, where magic’s antics distanced
him from his teammates, and mj’s tenacity galvanized his teammates. magic
talking shit to mj made his teammates uncomfortable because they knew
they’d ultimately be the ones that would have to man up toe to toe with mj,
not magic. magic should have rubbed it in mj’s face the way he had done for
the previous ten years. by hi-fiving his teammates as they outplayed the
other team.

Jon Joe says:

Well Magic’s mistake was trying to score toe to toe, instead of playing his
game.

Fit Ness says:

amazing, there will never be players like these.

Eliram Noam Ozmos says:

Bunch of bullshit.

Mikhail Oscar Tuason Jr says:

Id pay to watch this game.

Tom Mak says:

Did anyone notice that the game Mccallum referred to here, and on his book,
“the Dream Team,” is different from the one MJ and Magic referred to on the
documentary aired on NBATV? For one thing, according to Mccallum (
http://www.si.com/more-sports/2012/07/24/usa-basketball-game-nobody-saw),
Laettner was on Magic’s team and made the first assist of the game
resulting Barkley’s first 2 points. This is different from the documentary
as both MJ and Magic denied having Laettner on their team.

Anyone else picked up this up? Just curious. 🙂

tubewatcher38 says:

They had several other great scrimmages in Monte Carlo too. the last one (
i believe) was with a clock & finished tied at buzzer. as they were
getting ready to play overtime, Daly ended the game.

Solomon Herrera says:

Magic’s mistake was to turn it into a dual with Jordan…

KCRyder says:

this video should be titled: pulling bullshit out of my ass

HecticEthnic says:

For those of you who wanna know what happened in the game, this is a text
recap of the entire game.

brian dziengel says:

don’t market in some way. This is one thing i would pay good money to
watch/own.

ballhead82 says:

Jee Ritz says:

Thx !

Stuart Perry says:

The Dream Team was the biggest sham of all .In the late 1980’s our college
basketball is better than most countries in the world. Other countries have
pro leagues out of high school. Our college team is better than 90 percent
of them. We lose to some country and we say we are going to use our pros.
What did that prove? Then we lose with our pros. Now we have to make sure
we have the best pros every year.

In international basketball to make sure it is fair just make the rules
for Olympics simple: .basketball players have to be 22 years or younger.
Pros or amateurs. Then there is no excuse if we lose, no country has any
advantage. The great thing about this is that guys that may not make the
NBA can play on the Olympic team.

fluffynoses says:

looks like France beat the U.S. lol. Didn’t realize MJ ever played for
France ;)

mrmacross says:

No wonder Jordan’s team won. Laettner was on Magic’s team.

SuperObieWon says:

Rick Smith says:

what a great story

Clm Mo says:

france win (table score)!

Thaluckysun1 says:

Laettner …. lol

RossMonster says:

Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. They had the greatest PG of all time (Magic),
the greatest SG (Jordan), the greatest SF (Bird), and arguably the great PF
(Malone is debatable with Duncan and Barkley). The only position I wouldn’t
make a case for is center, and that’s because I think it belongs to Hakeem
Olajuwon for his incredible post-moves and staunch defense. A team like
that will never happen again.

BM3O8 says:

“Ten of the best”? Did he just snub Clyde the Glide? What else is new.
lol

Had Hakeem made this team(I think he made Dream Team II), instead of that
12th no-talent-ass-clown(we all know who that was), I think this team
would’ve been the greatest team ever assembled.

Great story.
